Must... hold... out... for... iphone

iphone

Water isn't always good. Particularly when it meets your phone as mine did last weekend. I can't complain about my phone, it's been great, but it's not so great now. The memory card no longer works, it's a little hard to hear, and it keeps powering down at random times.

So, my contract is up and I need a new phone. I'm ready to get an iPhone, but I've got to hold out just a bit longer. Although I could definitely justify it for the company with personal video streaming testing, there is cause for patience on the horizon.

First of all, it was rumored and then confirmed that AT&T is considering offering a cheaper data plan (I'm all about spending money wisely). But this was after rumors of a new iPhone surfaced; an iPhone said to be revealed at Apple's WWDC on June 8th and released on July 17th.

Now the guy who leaked the unibody MacBook Pro is confirming the rumors and detailing some of the supposed features including (list is from all rumored features):
  • 32GB and 16GB models

  • 3.2-megapixel camera (up from the current 2-megapixel camera)

  • Video-recording and editing capabilities

  • Ability to send a picture & video via MMS

  • OLED screen

  • 1.5 times the battery life of the current models

  • Double the RAM and processing power

  • Built-in FM transmitter

  • Built-in compass

  • The camera, GPS, compass and Google map combined will identify photo and inform about photo locations

  • Turn-by-turn directions

So I just need to hold out a little while longer, then iPhone, here I come!
