It wasn't long ago the decision was made to move forward with a corporate redesign at VillainousMind. This included web site changes and application changes for the Locura Media Server.
Well, changes for version 1.40 are well underway. Despite hurdles with the scripting engine after upgrading to .NET 3.5 and visual changes that needed to take place to provide the slick look and feel of the new interface, version 1.40 is not far from reality.
Version 1.40 includes a lot of great changes:
- An updated .NET framework backbone
- An updated scripting engine
- A vibrant new UI with a slicker look and feel
- Support for Windows Vista
- A lightweight system tray application providing easy access to all the media server's desktop features right from the Windows system tray.
Best of all, as with all previous version 1.xx upgrades, this upgrade is free to any user of the Locura Media Server using any version 1.xx of the software.
So keep your eyes peeled: version 1.40 is on the horizon.
