New demo video

A new video demonstrating how the Locura Media Server streams video in real time to the iPhone or iPod Touch is now available on YouTube. It showcases how this is done in real time, giving the user access to their iTunes videos on their PC without copying them to the iPhone or iPod Touch. This frees up the memory on these devices for other things.

In addition to demonstrating how to play the iTunes videos on a home PC from anywhere a user has an internet connection, the video also shows how someone can turn their iPhone and iPod Touch into home media servers by connecting the device to their home theater setup with an A/V cable.

The demonstration video can be found here.

Cool use. One of my hesitations with the iPod Touch has been the relatively limited storage compared with my 5th Gen iPod. This app looks like it would remove that obstacle.

Very nice. I've been considering building a HTPC or getting the Apple TV product. But now I think I'd be better off buying an AV cable and taking this route. I have an extensive video library and it would never fit on an iPod. Having this link to external storage would be awesome.
